Why we started Northstar.
Northstar Capital Partners was founded on a straightforward premise: that there is a better way to invest in businesses and founders.
We focus on two areas where we believe we can add real value — established family-owned businesses navigating a transition, and early-stage founders building in artificial intelligence and computer vision. In both cases, we look for the same thing: people who are building something real, and who want a partner who will engage seriously with what they are doing.
We are a small firm by design. We do not try to do everything. We focus on doing a few things well.
Why Northstar.
The name reflects how we think about our role. A northstar does not move — it provides orientation and direction. We aim to be that kind of partner: steady, reliable, and focused on the long term.
It also reflects our investment philosophy. We are not chasing trends. We are looking for businesses and founders with a clear direction — and backing them for the journey.
